Deliquesce is a term which describes the process of matter becoming liquid. The piece reflects this concept and explores the fluidity and freedom of sound. Inspired by flowing water and the way in which the timbre and quality of sound is completely altered when underwater, the piece uses sound design, synthesis, underwater-field recording as well as sample based material to create an underwater audio world which the piece becomes submerged into, slowly transforming beat-based material into an undulating ambient sea soundscape.
